Week 5 recap

This is a summary of what the yarn ninjas did and when they did during the fifth week.

Week 5 of Group Project

Monday, March 29 - scheduled meeting over break. We all showed up! We shoed each other what we had knit so far. Lindsay taught us how to make pom-poms. We knit some more and talked about how the project was going. We were unsure if we would yarn-bomb on Sunday night or Monday morning. We clarified that the next meeting would be at Holly's house (two blocks away from campus) where we would have a mini party of sorts as well as continue to work. We would also rehearse the presentation and start to put that together. In the meantime, we are all going to continue carrying on with our knitting on our own time.

Friday, April 2 - scheduled group meeting at Holly's house. We had a pizza party and adorable chick cupcakes. We discussed what we still had to get done over the weekend. We worked a lot on our presentation and realized that we would much rather have a hands-on approach. Instead of standing in front of a slide show talking, we decided to actually show people what we had done by taking them on a tour. We also discussed the logistics of the actual yarn bombing event - when we would do it (8:30 in the morning, ew!) what needed to be done, etc. We decided we would make "the yarn ninjas are here!" posters to put up around the school with links to our blogger so that people could know a little bit more about us. And, of course, we knit all throughout the meeting.

Summary: less than 24 hours to go. It's really amazing how far we've all come and just how much we've gotten accomplished. It's all coming together at this point and things are sliding into place.

LESS THAN 24 HOURS TO GO!!! WHOO~
